All of these photos were taken by highly acclaimed photographer Manny Rubio. Prior to 1972 they were mostly shot in New York and after that they were taken in Atlanta.

There are many, many hockey negatives and slides on eBay right now. None are of this quality.

I won't bother identifying the players...I'm sure you hockey nuts know all the names. If you're really curious you can right-click on the image and check out the filename, which normally will have the player's last name in it.

I am selling some of the original slides right now on eBay under the ID "thatsmyboy03".

I've added a couple extra pages to the site....a B&W Hockey page which features various B&W images taken in Atlanta during the 1972-73 season. Prints and/or the original negatives are for sale on that page.

The other page, the GOALIE PRINTS page, offers 5x7 prints of 20 selected goaltenders from the early 70s. These have never been published or available in any form before so they are very rare and very high quality.

I spent a few hours creating this assemblage of the 1971-72 Rangers team.   I'll be doing a pretty extensive update sometime this weekend.

I'm not sure who #20 is for the Rangers. Any help is appreciated.  Update: Thanks to everyone for the info that #20 is Curt Bennett. Curt was with the Rangers for only 16 games in the 72-73 season. If you're wondering whatever happened to him he's got his own website, www.curtbennett.com.

Perhaps one of you hockey nuts can tell me who the Canadiens player with the stitches is and also who the Leafs player with the equipment issue is? My guess is that the Leafs players is Jim Dorey but it would be great to get confirmation. Email me HERE please.

update: I've been told the Canadiens player is Terry Harper. A big thank you to "4454".

Also I am in need of a source for hockey uniform numbers in the 1969-70 season. Any help would be appreciated. Teams of specific interest in that year are the Canadiens, Rangers, Bruins, Blackhawks, and Leafs.  Update: Thanks also to "4454" for providing a link to the hockey database.

When I saw the Balon shot with the bad comb-over I just had to share it.
